What and when will I get paid?

Starting pay for new team members is $17 per hour. As you gain experience, attend training courses and demonstrate good performance and conduct, you may be eligible for a pay increase.

Our work schedule can include 12-16 hour shifts, so it’s common for team members to reach overtime by the third day.

The overtime pay adds up quickly, making this an attractive opportunity for those who are looking for a well-paying job. In addition to competitive pay, we also provide work clothing and necessary equipment.

Paydays are weekly at end of day on Fridays.

When will I start working?

In our area, the busiest time for landscaping is usually from February to November. However, people are spending more time outside these days, so the season is lasting longer. The amount of work you get depends on the company you work for and the jobs they have scheduled during a certain time period. The resources they have available will also affect the amount of work. It’s important to choose a quality company because this will greatly impact how much work you have the opportunity to do.

What will I learn in the Landscape Training classes?

As a new team member at Vohs, you will undergo training to become skilled in various landscaping techniques.

You will learn how to read and interpret basic landscape plans, identify different types of landscape plans, estimate the materials needed for a job, measure and place hardscapes such as pavers or walls, use a plant list to select the right plants, and finally place the plants in the landscape to create a beautiful and functional outdoor space.

There will also be occasional on-the-job sessions with master experts such as landscape designers, masons, irrigation, and horticulture professionals.

This training will equip you with the necessary knowledge and skills to contribute to the success of Vohs’ projects and help you grow within the company.
